GTA 6 preorder guide: editions, bonuses and preload details
What comes with each currently announced purchase option, plus the fine print worth checking before you pay.
Rockstar offers GTA 6 digitally in Standard and Ultimate editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Eligible early purchases include the Vintage Vice City Pack; platform-specific GTA+ terms may also apply. Preload begins November 12.
Standard versus Ultimate Edition
The Standard Edition includes the base single-player game. The Ultimate Edition adds an upgrade described by Rockstar as a collection of items and activities threaded through Jason and Lucia's story.
Because prices and exact offers can vary by country and storefront, this guide does not hard-code one universal price. The platform store checkout is the authoritative total for your region, tax and currency.
Vintage Vice City Pack
Rockstar advertises the Vintage Vice City Pack for qualifying preorders or early digital purchases. It is a set of in-game benefits inspired by an earlier era of Vice City. Check the official edition page for the current item list and eligibility cutoff before buying.
A preorder bonus is not the same thing as an entire edition. Compare the base game, Ultimate upgrade and time-limited bonuses separately.
The GTA+ offer
PlayStation currently advertises one month of GTA+ at no extra cost for eligible digital purchases made before November 20, 2026, with redemption conditions and an expiry. A subscription can renew at the regular price unless canceled.
That offer is governed by platform and regional terms. Read the checkout disclosure and redemption deadline instead of assuming the same GTA+ deal exists on every storefront.
Physical edition and preload warning
Rockstar Support says the physical box contains a download code, not a disc, and is expected to be available from November 12 to support preload. Buyers who need a disc for collecting, sharing or offline installation should understand that distinction.
Digital and qualifying physical-code owners can begin preloading at local midnight on November 12. Preloading does not grant early play.
A sensible preorder checklist
- Buy only from Rockstar-linked platform stores or established authorized retailers.
- Verify platform, region and refund policy before redeeming a code.
- Compare the Ultimate contents with how you actually play; do not assume they are required.
- Check whether a GTA+ trial auto-renews and set a cancellation reminder if needed.
- Ignore PC preorders: Rockstar has not announced a PC edition.
